Practice

We show up to practice every day. No exceptions. And we’re all excellent players because of it.

Like seasoned professionals, our most practiced qualities are executed with precision and relative ease. Our dominant actions appear so natural and effortless, that we may overlook how much practice went into maintaining their proficiency.

We may decide we want to practice something new. Great.

We may realize that practicing something new, is in direct opposition to an undesirable action that has been well practiced. Frustrating.

We may continue to practice something new, despite the frustration of having to overcome our most dominant actions. Change.

Every action we take is practice. Our most dominant actions are the most practiced. If we want to change, we have to practice something new, repeatedly.

The change we want is not without hope, it may just need a little more practice.
