Mirrored advice

It’s hard to look in a mirror without seeing your reflection. It’s easy to give advice and think that it’s for the other person, instead of yourself.

People say, “I need to take my own advice”, but how many of us do?

Other people are a mirror for the wisdom we would benefit from ourselves. In the state of being a good friend, associate, or mentor, we dish out advice that appears to be for someone else, but in reality, it’s the genius way we are designed to get beyond our own inner noise and resistance.

When I find myself giving the same advice to multiple people, or when I’m adamant about the advice I give to a single person, I pause to see the message that I’m trying to give to myself. Because every time we look outside ourselves, we do it from within.

The world is fundamentally changing for the better. And where there appears to be a problem, is the solution we’ve been seeking. Which means, this is the best time to create. So, no looking back. No holding back. And no business as usual. This is the time for higher awareness and new solutions.

“Thank-you”, I say to myself, “I needed to hear that.”
