Fly

I am free. Still learning how to fly.

Wings don’t fail me now, this is our time.

Ell

Frederick Douglass escaped from slavery in 1838. His story and writings have been a source of inspiration for me, as I learn to escape from another form of captivity in 2016.

Imagined

Over a brief period of time, I started to write down everything I consciously imagined.

Before this experience, I was unable to distinguish the difference between thinking and imagining. But, if my thoughts have a string to my brain, then my imagination has a string to my heart.

Statistic

Statistics are formulated through a process that involves the collection, analysis, interpretation, presentation and organization of data.

Data, formulated through this process, can be helpful in identifying trends, historical patterns and the performance of athletes. But, it is less helpful, and probably even a disservice, to rely on statistics when it comes to truly understanding another human being.

Planet 9
