If someone is rewarded for complying with their own self-destruction, over time they will be trained to manage their own defeat.

If someone is offered an incentive for their ignorance, over time ignorance will become the preferred state.

There are structures in place that reward self-destruction and incentivize ignorance.

The only thing keeping us from recognizing this, are the rewards we get for being selectively unaware, and the incentives we get for being silent.
