The idea

One person thought of the idea first.

Another person executed the idea first.

So whose idea is it?

I’ve had a lot of good ideas that were never executed. And trust me, nobody ever gave me credit for the non-action of a genius thought.

There was a time when I stopped trying to generate new ideas. I had reached a point where I preferred to bound my creativity, rather than feel the disappointment of seeing workable ideas, I had imagined myself, being realized in the world around me.

Bounding my creativity was not fail proof, so I had to create more sophisticated ways to avoid executing ideas. Not having enough time, lack of resources, and the injustices of the world, have all been dependable sources that helped me cultivate reliable excuses.

When the mind that produces the idea, is the same mind that creates a barrier against executing the idea, who wins? Maybe we have to move beyond the idea, to find out.
