Blind consumption

We don’t want to be consumed by opposing forces, but we also don’t want to be blind to them.

Being consumed takes away our ability to see anything else. Being blind takes away our ability to see anything.

A person who is consumed by opposing forces, will feel threatened when the resistance starts to dissipate.

A person who is blind to opposing forces, will feel overwhelmed when they start to see the resistance.

Moving through forces that oppose us, may require a balance of two extremes– A place where we are not completely consumed, and a place where we are willing to see.
